Register for an individual 3hr Illinois Conceal Carry License (IL CCL) Renewal Course... where we come to you! This course is taught either in the comfort of your own home or in a space reserved in advance, where we will go over all of the necessary curriculum mandated by the Illinois State Police. Either a provided television can be used (available HDMI port in working condition is required) or we will bring a projector along with us. At the conclusion of the second day's classroom presentation, we will then meet at J.R. Shooting Sports for the live-fire qualification (other ranges may be possible with 7 day advance notice). This minimum 3hr renewal course is required for all current IL CCL holders every five years to maintain their active permit status, which includes successfully passing the 30 round live-fire qualification. A minimum of 100 rounds and two magazines (for semi-automatic handguns) is suggested.
*PLEASE NOTE: Each student will be responsible for paying their individual lane fee of $19.95 upon check-in at J.R. Shooting Sports. We will provide one B27 Silhouette target, which you are allowed to keep once done. If needed, we can also complete your IL CCL application process (additional fee).

Register for a private party initial Illinois Conceal Carry License (IL CCL) 16hr Course... where we come to you! This course is taught either in the comfort of your own home or in a space reserved in advance over two 8hr days (does not have to be consecutive days), where we will go over all of the necessary curriculum mandated by the Illinois State Police. This course satisfies all federal and state requirements for obtaining your IL CCL. Students will learn about their constitutional rights, the "do's and do nots" of concealed carry, when you can and cannot legally fire, safe storage, how laws/ordinances vary from location to location, and much more. The second day will include the live fire qualification as well as a presentation from a concealed carry insurance representative. A minimum of 100 rounds and two (2) magazines (for semi-automatic handguns) is suggested.

Whether initially applying for your IL FOID Card or after successfully completing your Illinois Conceal Carry License course, we offer assistance uploading and submitting your documentation in person to the Illinois State Police for a $40 fee. We can help create your online account on the ISPFSB portal (if you don't have existing login credentials), ensure all personal information is still current or make the necessary changes, go through the mandatory background check questionnaire with you, take and upload a current picture, upload your signed course completion certification and/or affidavit, and submit your payment, all in a matter of minutes! We ensure everything you need to maintain your active status is successfully completed with ease and accuracy, preventing any possible lapses in coverage that could disqualify you from being able to legally own or carry your firearm on your person as defined by 430 ILCS 66/65.
Perfect for those with none to a basic background in handguns! No IL FOID Card or personally-owned firearm needed! This intimate and in-depth session combines both classroom and live-fire instruction (location-dependent). The smaller setting ensures that your questions and/or concerns are addressed with the full attention of the instructor. In the classroom, you'll will learn the fundamentals of shooting: grip, sight alignment and sight picture, target acquisition, stance, breathing and trigger squeeze. With the aid of dry fire, laser trainers and useful tools and applications, students receive real-time analysis and corrective feedback. Once safely and comfortably able to do so, we then move into the live-fire exercises where we put the theory into practice. This is a great option for individuals, couples, friends or family interested in learning how to safely handle and fire handguns. Eye and ear protection not provided. Rental firearms available with advance notice. A minimum of 100 rounds is suggested (not included). Please reach out prior to purchasing your private lesson(s). We want to ensure we have options available that suit your schedule but also do not overlap with other courses or lessons being taught.

The remainder of the time is spent in the range doing live-fire training with varying drills to increase your comfort, accuracy, and consistency. This is a great choice for students looking to make the transition between different platforms, iron sights to optics, or preparing to complete an Illinois Conceal Carry License (IL CCL) course.

This 90min session will teach you the inner workings of your firearm, how to disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble, and maintain your firearm so you can keep it running for years to come... all from the comfort of your own home! Whether you're new to firearms or new to a platform, learning how to properly clean and maintain your weapon is vital to it's reliability and longevity. Teaching and cleaning alongside you on a similar platform, we will work with a handgun, shotgun or rifle (semi- and bolt-action) so you can see everything demonstrated and follow along with your personally-owned firearm. If you already have your own cleaning kit/supplies, you will learn how to correctly use each tool to prevent damage or malfunctions. If not, with advance notice we will provide each student a cleaning kit to be utilized for the day (separate fee). We'll also share with you ideas and recommendations for different products on the market that may be useful to you going forward.
*PLEASE NOTE: Only one platform and one firearm per cleaning session. One pair of latex-free gloves, eye protection, and a cleaning mat will be provided. Minors under 18yrs of age must be accompanied by a paying parent or legal guardian. Two student maximum per instructor. The cost is per student.

Cancellations made 48-72hrs before scheduled appointment time will receive 50% refund or a one-time ability to reschedule. Cancellations made less than 48hrs from the scheduled appointment time will not receive a refund.
